The Postgraduate Program in Communication and Culture of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (PPGCOM-UFRJ) is the second oldest postgraduate program in the field of communication in Brazil, having graduated more than one thousand two hundred and more than four hundred doctors, from different locations in the country and abroad. Many of his alumni occupy an undeniable leadership position within the field of communication, postgraduate co-ordinations from different states, and in the direction of relevant national scientific and technical institutions. It was evaluated again with concept 6 in the last triennial evaluation of Capes (2010-2012), after being the first postgraduate program in communication in Brazil to obtain such evaluation.
There are offered two courses, of regular, continuous and free offer: the Academic Master and the Doctorate in Communication and Culture. The courses aim at the training of qualified personnel for the development of research, teaching and extension activities related to the fields of communication and culture in an interdisciplinary way. |
